StoryLincs works best in Firefox 3 or Internet Explorer 7 or their newer versions, but Firefox 2 or Internet Explorer 6 should be just fine.

We are interested in storytelling by children with autism - in particular, their written stories. In this project, we aim to collect and study stories produced by children with autism and by typically developing children. With the permission of parents, children will be invited to type stories into a purpose-designed computer program. We are collecting stories in this way because we believe it would be more fun, and would give us a better idea of children's storytelling abilities than if we asked them to tell a story directly to us.

Families will be able to be involved a number of ways. You can register as a guest on the StoryLincs homepage and children can type in stories they have already written, or brand new stories if they want to! Or you can contact us and let us know you are interested in participating in the major part of our project where we are looking for children to produce written re-tellings of a story chosen by us.

One of our goals is to create an online community where families can share the stories their children have written. Our StoryLincs Library will host these stories which will be available to the StoryLincs community or the general public depending on individual family preferences.

We invite you to go to the StoryLincs homepage to see how the stories will be collected and soon you will be able to browse the shelves of our StoryLincs Library.

If you would like to contact us, you can do so as follows.
